This site was created to offer parents of children with Vietnamese heritage, primarily those adopted from Vietnam, the resources they need along the parenting path. We have tried to cover everything from adoption proceedings, through race and identity issues.
Each phase of parenting is grouped to make it easier to navigate the site: the adoption process, post adoption, heritage and culture, food, medical, race and identity, family, schooling, shopping, etc.
This site has grown from conversations adoptive families have had at the APV Yahoo! group that has been one of the most beneficial places for information and e-meeting since 1998. The APV yahoo group has families subscribed from all over the globe, and is over 3,000 strong.
